Glenn was the Head Football Coach at
Brandon Valley High School from 1968 to 1980. Coach Sellevold came to Brandon Valley in the fall of 1968 and almost immediately started winning championships. His overall record at BVHS was 79-27-2 and included Big 8 Conference titles in 1969, 1974, 1977, 1978, and 1979. The 1979 team was undefeated and was named State Champions by the South Dakota Sportswriters. After leaving BVHS, he went on to win two ESD conference championships and two State AA Runner-Up titles before retiring in 1992. He also was a track and field coach at BVHS - as an assistant and head coach. The Lynx were Big 8 Conference Champions for all six years that he was an assist and and for all except one of the six years that he was the head coach. Coach Sellevold's greatest memories of BVHS include the great support the community and administration gave to athletics, the outstanding coaching staff he was on, and the excellent student athletes that he was around. He believes that BV produced more top athletes than any other school in the state regardless of size. |
